So, you’ve heard about people doing their yoga routines at home. It’s not a new idea by any means, but with everyone self-quarantining, it makes more sense than ever. Maybe you subscribed to a great YouTube channel with a yoga instructor. Maybe you have casted it to your flat screen tv or you have an integrated app on your smart tv. Many yoga instructors have begun streaming their yoga routines on social media so clients can still work with their favorite instructors. And, of course, if you have some Hemp oil to take before you begin your home yoga routines, then all the better.
Hemp for yoga has become very popular with some studios handing it out before class begins, at an additional cost of course. So, why not consider eating a Hemp cookie an hour or so before you begin your home routine? Perhaps some Hemp oil drops under the tongue 20 minutes or so before you begin stretching? However you like to add Hemp to your routine, make sure you are only using the best Hemp products that have lab testing from a third party and provide a certificate of analysis to authenticate the label. You can have Hemp shipped right to your house so you can maintain social distancing.
For a home yoga routine, what you need is space and some privacy. Just like in a yoga studio, you want a controlled environment that can prevent distractions as much as possible. It is easier said than done when doing yoga at home. Children can come running in asking for something, or try to climb on you while you are holding an interesting pose that requires a lot of balance. They may even start doing the yog with you. Whatever your circumstances, try to get some private time for your routine so you can get the most out of your workout.
If you do not have a larger tablet or laptop to play the video, or casting it to the tv doesn’t work, your phone will be fine. I often just prop my phone up on a towel at the top of my mat and turn the volume to a nice level. The instructor may well be playing soothing music to go with your routine, so don’t worry about that. Make sure your mat is clean, that you have water and towels. Just like in the studio, practice controlled breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. I like to see if I can make my exhale twice as long as my inhale.
I also think that doing your home yoga practice outdoors makes sense. It may still be chilly where you are, but it will start warming up soon. There is nothing like the soothing sounds of nature while practicing static stretching, active stretching or vinyasa. Wherever you practice yoga at home, as I am sure you know, it is about a state of mind. Find the zone wherever you are and I hope that Hemp makes a difference. Remember, only the highest quality Hemp oils and edibles should be used.
