Hemp for Soccer Players and More says U.S. Women's Soccer Captain

Apparently professional athletes have had enough of being told what to do by their respective sports leagues. Megan Rapinoe, the outspoken captain of the U.S. Women’s Soccer team that recently won the World Cup, is now speaking out strongly in favor of professional athletes being able to access Hemp’s benefits without having to fear repercussions. The World Anti-Doping Agency or WADA, has already given the green light to FIFA athletes to use Hemp if they think it will help, but many other sports organizations are still dragging their feet.

“We put our bodies on the line, especially the more contact-oriented sports, and so I think that if athletes are pushing this forward and being at the forefront of this, demanding better workplace conditions, a safer way for them to be their best selves on the field and a safer alternative to pain management because pain management and injuries are all part of being an athlete, just part of the nature of it, I feel like it’s coming from within for these very valid reasons, I feel like that can be really powerful in moving conversation forward.”

The U.S. Triathlon team just decided to embrace its athletes taking Hemp dosages, and the recently retired NFL star Rob Gronkowski is also calling for the NFL to change its substance policies to exclude Hemp from its list of banned substances. The UFC supports Hemp being used by its athletes as well. The idea of an all-natural product like Hemp that has no psychoactive effects, is right up most health enthusiasts’ alley.

The biggest reason why more sports leagues and medical doctors are reluctant to support Hemp consumption as a treatment for any medical condition, is a lack of standard rigorous and peer reviewed research on the effects of Hemp. While it would be easy to point out that quite a bit of research has already taken place, most of the research conducted so far does not meet the standards of medical professionals. Surveys and research done in test tubes and on lab mice are not as powerful as research involving human trials.

If you want to buy Hemp oil or any other Hemp product, it is readily available these days. Online stores sell Hemp gummies, tinctures and many other Hemp deliverables, but not all brands are the same. It is important to look for 3rd party Hemp lab reports so you can clearly see the cannabinoid profile of the product. Also, check the ingredients labels on any product you are considering to make sure it meets your diet restrictions.
