Hemp and the Prince of Darkness

Injuries are a part of life. Whether you are a superstar athlete, weekend warrior, or just the type that likes to text and walk, injuries are going to happen. Injuries become even more likely when you live a life like the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. He recently took a tumble and is using CBD according to SHARON!

Ozzy Osbourne has been entertaining people for many decades in one way or another.

Not all injuries are created equal and when you calculate in pain tolerance, the way we deal with those injuries depends on the individual in question. A sprained ankle for some people means they are slowed down some, but an ankle brace and some ice keeps them on the move. That same ankle sprain for another person means they are down for an extended period of time and may need to call in mom from out-of-state to tend to their needs, we’re all different.

Just like we all have a different tolerance for pain, we all have a different way of managing that pain. The old school rough and tumble type may decide to take a shot of whiskey, put some dirt on it and tough it out. For those of us that aren’t one with their inner Clint Eastwood, they may look into a painkiller such as aspirin or ibuprofen. For more serious injuries, there is vicodin and percocet, which can both become addictive and have serious side effects. For the most severe and serious pain there are drugs such as oxycontin and fentanyl, which are very addictive and can lead to overdose and death. That’s something Ozzy has had a problem with in the past.

...after sustaining an injury that caused the BLACK SABBATH singer to cancel all live appearances through the end of the year. Asked if she is concerned that Ozzy — who has a history of addiction — might get hooked on painkillers while he is recovering, Sharon responded: 'He's off all of that. He had to have it after he was operated on the last time.'

Long term use of oxycotin, fentanyl or even other illicit drugs can cause major health problems, even death. Even regular use of ibuprofen and acetaminophen can have negative side effects from altering one’s mood to liver damage. The world of pharmaceutical and over the counter drugs can be a nasty one and for some it gets the best of them. Many people are led down the dark road of addiction due to injury. For those who have dealt with addiction or for people looking to avoid the grip of addiction, there are alternatives.
