Using Hemp While Playing Golf

Using Hemp While Playing Golf

Pressure means something different to everyone. I don’t mean tire pressure, or the air pressure that gets pumped into footballs. I mean “pressure.” That feeling of needing to make something happen whether it’s in sports, in the office or even at home. If you are an athlete, that pressure comes in the form of needing to make a big play, score points or make a defensive stop. In the office it could manifest itself in the form of needing to make another sale to achieve a bonus, or meeting a tight deadline for a project. At home, it could be the need to get the house cleaned before your in-laws come in for the holidays, or getting the kids dressed and ready to go on a long road trip.

Yes, pressure is different for all of us, but we all have to deal with it. So, how do you deal with pressure? How do you ease your mind to help focus your attention on the task at hand? For some it’s a deep breath, for others it’s a cigarette in the garage, but what if you need more than a deep breath and you’re not a smoker?Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson may be using CBD during the most competitive golf tournaments on the planet.

Mind you, we have to say “may” because they haven’t confirmed and the PGA hasn’t figured out their stance on CBD products just yet. That being said, think about the implications. Golf requires a great deal of focus and attention.

"But some have speculated that Woods and Mickelson aren’t chewing regular old bubblegum -- they’re chomping on CBD gum. The PGA Tour’s Anti-Doping Agency usually follows the protocol set by the World Anti-Doping Agency. And when WADA announced athletes could use cannabidiol (CBD), as it didn’t consider the substance performance-enhancing, the PGA Tour adopted similar rules."

Being a good golfer takes intense focus and cannabidiol may be a good way to find that focus. As it turns out, the PGA has not yet determined its rules concerning its athletes taking cannabidiol. It even issued a letter stating that players should avoid taking CBD. Like so many other organizations, the PGA is still trying to understand this new product and how it affects its athletes.

Products like CBD gum, CBD tinctures, and CBD brownies may be just what the modern day parent needs to navigate everything that gets thrown at them. Between jobs, deadlines, kids and social lives, there is ample opportunity to get the brain revved up. CBD oil drops or a CBD cookie are something people are looking into. Instead of grabbing a drink or stepping out for a cigarette, try a couple CBD drops under the tongue and see what happens.
