Have you ever noticed when fitness gurus list the foundations of health and wellness that they all mention rest and recovery? I always wonder who these people are that can just get all this rest and uninterrupted beauty sleep. Between dealing with getting kids ready for school, preparing for meetings, actually working out, and trying to have some form of a social life, it can seem impossible to turn the brain off and get a good night's sleep.
The truth of the matter is, in order to be Superwoman or Superman, the fitness gurus are right, we do need our sleep. The question is, what if sleep doesn’t come easy to all of us? For me it has always been an issue. No matter how tired I am, no matter how badly I want to go to sleep, my brain is constantly running. If you’re on social media and follow any number of fitness influencers, it’s hard to ignore.
It’s important to note that Hemp isn’t the same as a joint, it’s not going to get you high. Hemp is one of many compounds found in the cannabis plant. A pure Hemp product will not have any THC in it.
How does Hemp make you feel?
For myself I need something that will help me get to sleep but won’t leave me groggy or feeling hungover. I opted for the Hemp tincture drops as I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of using a vape pen in my home, and I avoided the 25mg Hemp gummies due to concerns about sugar intake.
The Hemp oil drops were not a magic pill and did not instantly knock me out and send me to lala land. The bottom line is that the fitness gurus are correct when they say quality sleep and recovery are a foundation to health and wellness. For some of us who can’t just hop into bed and slide into dreamland, we may need help getting to a restful place.
