Are There Unknown Benefits to Hemp?

The spotlight is currently shining bright on CBD due to its potential to provide therapeutic benefits without the psychoactive effects of cannabis. As regulations on the research and study of CBD have relaxed, scientists now have more ability to research the compound and determine its full potential. Additional research means additional data that can help target specific conditions. We should probably take a look at what we already know about CBD before we get into the world of the unknown.

We do know that pure CBD affects the endocannabinoid system (ECS) by inducing the production of our natural endocannabinoids such as anandamide. CBD also interacts with other internal systems that affect how our bodies experience pain and stress. Scientists have learned that our ECS and some other systems not only respond to the cannabinoids we naturally produce but also to certain phytocannabinoids found in some plants.

This connection between what we have naturally occurring in our bodies and external sources is what makes the potential for the compound so great. What if there are even more uses for CBD products than we realized? Maybe CBD could even help us fight certain bugs or infections. That’s exactly what a new study is in the process of determining, the potential for CBD as an effective antibiotic.

Imagine if some of the benefits of CBD could possibly be its ability to fight off disease and infection.

How could you hope for anything more delicious than a vanilla flavored CBD oil to help with stress and pain management. It is important to note that the above study regarding CBD as an antibiotic is still in its early stages and should not be considered as a treatment for infection at this time. What one can take away from this information is that we are only scratching the surface of what we know about CBD and how it can be used. A person using 1000mg CBD tinctures could be using them for any number of reasons. With more studies like the one above, the list of uses will continue to grow. While there is still a great deal of work that needs to be done with the research, there is a great deal of data that suggests it’s worth trying a CBD product right now.
